A week-long workshop for doctoral and MA students. The workshop was co-organised with Adriano Aymonino, Barbara Furlotti, and Silvia Davoli. The following institutions participated: V&A’s Gilbert Collections, the National Gallery, Sothebys Institute, Christies Restitution Department, the British Library, the University of Buckingham, Blairman & Sons, Weiss Gallery and The Commission for Looted Art all on behalf of The Society of the History of Collecting. London June 12-16, 2023.

Opening the Cabinet of Curiosities at the Victoria and Albert Museum

A project that investigated the role of the early modern collecting phenomena of the Kunstkammer and what it came to play, not merely as the precursor of the modern museum, but also its role in collecting in a wider perspective, from the Victorian era to our own time, especially through the lens of contemporary artist Mark Dion.

What was Europe? A new Salon

A series of salons of salons that took place within a globe structure in the galleries devoted to Europe 1600-1815 at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Co-hosted with Professor Simon Schaffer, University of Cambridge and Professor Bill Sherman and funded by The British Academy.
